본 교과목은 SoC설계에 있어 필수적으로 요구되는 ASIC (주문형 반도체) 설계 기법에 대해 강의한다. ASIC 디자인 플로우와 ASIC 설계의 Back-End 파트를 Synopsys EDA 설계 툴을 사용하여 Chip 설계되는 과정을 습득한다. Back-End 설계 툴로 Chip Design을 위한 Place & Route (P&R) 툴인 IC Compiler, 반도체 공정 기술 및 장치를 개발하고 최적화 가능한 툴인 TCAD에 대해 습득한다.

This course provides a lecture on ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design techniques, which are essential for SoC design. In this course, students learn the process of designing chips using Synopsys EDA design tool for ASIC design flow and back-end part of ASIC design. As a back-end design tool, learn about IC Compiler, a Place & Route (P&R) tool for Chip Design, and TCAD, a tool that can develop and optimize semiconductor process technology and devices.
