본 교과목은 SoC설계에 있어 필수적으로 요구되는 ASIC (주문형 반도체) 설계 기법에 대해 강의한다. ASIC 디자인 플로우와 ASIC 설계의 Front-End 파트를 Synopsys EDA 설계 툴을 사용하여 디지털 설계 기술에 대해 습득한다. Front-End 설계 툴로 하드웨어 설계 및 시뮬레이션 툴인 VCS, Verdi, 합성을 위한 툴인 Design Comipler, Static Timing check 및 Analysis를 위한 Primetime 툴에 대해 학습한다.

This course provides a lecture on ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design techniques, which are essential for SoC design. In this course, students learn digital design skills using the ASIC design flow and Synopsys EDA design tools for the front-end design. As a front-end design, you will learn about VCS and Verdi, which are hardware design and simulation tools, Design Compiler (DC) , which is a tool for synthesis, and Primetime, which is a tool for Static Timing check and Analysis (STA).
